Yoga Basics Series

Learn the basics of yoga during a 5-week series with one of Flow Town Yoga's senior teachers in a warm and welcoming environment. This beginner-friendly class breaks down the fundamentals of a yoga practice. We take it slowly and intentionally, shedding light on foundational yoga poses and taking the time we need to feel them and understand them fully. Upon completion, most students will be prepared to participate in basic or gentle yoga classes at Flow Town Yoga.

Join Veronica's teacher Noelle Whittington- Thai Yoga practicioner, Kirtan Musician, and Senior Kunga Trainer for a special 2 hour Yoga experience.
Noelle will lead an all-levels Vinyasa Yoga class, where all are welcome and there is something for everyone. Vinyasa means "to place in a special way" and commonly indicates that we will be moving with our breath. Learn variations of the traditional Sun Salutations, while moving through all the major muscles and joints of the body. This practice will begin and end with Pranayama- breathing exercises, and will end with a Mantra meditation.You'll be invited to take a longer rest (Savasana), or to join in a Mantra meditation at the end of class. Mantra means "mind-tool" and involves the use of spoken or sung phrases to train the mind to focus in the way you would like. Noelle will play her harmonium at the end of the class and will sing the mantras- and you will be invited to just listen or to Chant along with her. These Chants come from all traditions and are not religious in nature. If you would like to deepen your Yoga practice, and to celebrate being alive, this is a beautiful way to do it
